About Jahara Matisek

Keynote Speaker, Author & Veteran

 Energizing audiences through insights on critical minerals and rare earths, defense industrial base issues, future of warfare, drones, Artificial Intelligence (AI), technology, and conflict analysis. Jahara has published 2 books and over 200 articles on the defense industrial base, strategy, and warfare in peer-reviewed journals and policy relevant outlets. He has been featured in dozens of podcasts and in the news.


Over 20 years of military experience, to include over 3,700 hours of flight time as a Military Pilot, he has done research in Ukraine, Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, and many other countries. Earned a PhD in Political Science from Northwestern University and has graduate degrees from Troy University and University of Oklahoma. 


Jahara has taught strategy and security at the US Air Force Academy and the US Naval War College. He has held fellowships at: AFWERX, Homeland Defense Institute, European Resilience Initiative Center, Irregular Warfare Initiative, Modern War Institute, Payne Institute for Public Policy, Project on International Peace and Security (PIPS) at William & Mary, and the US Naval War College.
